kVA (kilovolt-amperes) is the apparent power of a generator — the total electrical power it produces. kW (kilowatts) is the usable power after accounting for the power factor (typically 0.8). So a 10kVA generator delivers around 8kW of usable power. As a rule of thumb: multiply kVA by 0.8 to get kW.

Add up the running wattage of everything you'll be powering, then add 20–30% safety margin. Key examples: small event lighting + PA: 10–20kVA · construction site with tools + welfare cabin: 20–60kVA · large event or commercial premises: 60–100kVA+. Not sure? Yes — our site generators are sized for real construction loads. A 20kVA unit handles power tools, lighting and a welfare cabin comfortably. Larger sites with multiple power-hungry tools running simultaneously typically need 60kVA+.

We offer daily, weekly, and monthly hire — from a single day to long-term contracts. The longer the hire, the better the rate. Weekly hire typically works out cheaper than three or more daily hires.

All generators produce some noise, but we offer canopied (super-silent) generators for events and noise-sensitive locations — typically 55–65dB, roughly equivalent to a normal conversation.

We have a 24-hour breakdown response for all hire customers. If a unit develops a fault that isn't due to misuse, we'll repair or replace it as quickly as possible.

We deliver and collect to your site across North Wales and Cheshire. Delivery is priced on location — we'll give you a clear cost with your hire quote.

Next-day delivery is available on most units subject to availability. For emergency power situations, call or WhatsApp us directly and we'll tell you what we can do on the spot.

Yes — we take a refundable security deposit at the start of the hire, typically equivalent to one week's hire rate. Returned in full when the generator comes back in the same condition.

We accept card payments online (Visa, Mastercard via Stripe), BACS bank transfer for trade and commercial customers, and cash on collection for smaller portable units.

Fuel is not included. Generators are delivered full and should be returned full (or a refuelling charge applies). We can advise on expected fuel consumption based on your load.

Standard petrol and diesel generators must be used outdoors — they produce carbon monoxide which is potentially fatal in enclosed spaces. Speak to us if you need enclosed-space power.

Hire if: you need power for a one-off event or short project. Buy if: you use a generator regularly — it typically pays for itself within 6–12 months of regular hire costs.
